On the weekend, I joined a band of mischief-making photographers in running the Light Magic two-day workshop in at Studio Wildchild in Bunbury. I covered the Australand Coogee Jetty to Jetty Swim at Coogee Beach on Sunday. You couldn't ask for a better day weather wise - sunny with mild temperatures and nary a breeze to stir the placid waters of Cockburn Sound. Photos from this event are now available on this website.

Sunday 1st March was the last day of the Senior State Surf Life Saving Championships Finals, and I covered the surf rowing events at Scarborough Beach. Surf rowing doesn't get as much coverage from the media as other surf sports - perhaps because it's more a team even than an individual endeavour. It is, however, one of the most visual surf sport event - watching the rowers hold down their craft in anticipation of the whistle, and then battling the swells as they strain on the oars to get their boat out into open water. Photographs from the surf rowing events at the Senior State Surf Life Saving Championships Finals at Scarborough Beach are now available on the website.

A week back from my month long journey in India and Nepal. A challenging but ultimately rewarding trip where I learned a great deal about myself and my photography. I now have a body of work which I'm planning to exhibit as part of the FotoFreo Fringe Festival in 2010.
